Being in possession of several large rolls of radiant heat barrier, we have researched all the possible ways to use it. It works for radiant heat, so there needs to be air space directly against the silver side for it to work as intended. It is not the most efficient application, but we decided to use it between the studs inside. Insulation will go it next to it, and hopefully there will be enough air space to do some good since insulation is “fluffy”. The “bubble wrap” as we call it, has an R value of 1/2 to 1 without the benefit of having it radiate.
The girls tackled this project with enthusiasm…maybe because they got to hang from the rafters.
Susan and Roy,
I love everything you have done.
I 2nd that
Now that is about the cutest bunch of construction workers I have ever seen.
