We have been plagued with weekend rain lately. The one Saturday that was sunny was the day we had to make an airport run to pick up an aunt from her travels, so very little was done that day. Happily, our oldest girl was home this week on spring break and she spent two days helping me. The first day we worked on yard cleanup and we planted 4 blueberries to replace ones that died over the winter. After planting those, we weeded well around the rest and re-mulched them all. We also separated and planted the rosemary that had become very root bound in its pot. We bought a fig tree, but didn’t get it planted.

On the second day, we finished staining the west side of the house and stained the whole front of the house. It is slow going on scaffolding, even with two people.

We barely made a dent in my list of “must do soon”, but the other two girls are out on spring break next week!
