Our gardens suffered a setback  from a big hail storm this past weekend. The leaves of the potatoes in the garden were stripped off and the plants look trampled. The tomato in the garden box suffered the most…it looks like a broccoli stalk. The peas were knocked off their trellis and aren’t growing well. However, the tomatoes in the garden perked back up, and the potatoes in the tires appear unscathed. The corn is up 5 or 6″ and the hail laid it over flat, but it, too stood back up.
