Before we get started on the rough plumbing inside the house, we needed to finish up the waste line tying into the septic tank. We dug the ditch way back in the beginning and ran the line from the house to within a few feet of the septic tank. We left this undone because we weren’t entirely sure how to finish it out. It was a daunting task to cut a hole in the concrete side of the septic tank. It was laborious, but it is done. After inserting the sewage pipe into the hole, silicone caulk was caked around the whole thing and then concrete poured in on top to completely seal it all. The ditch is finally filled in and now the rough plumbing can begin.
