A few weeks ago, we cut a large pine down by the garden. We pulled all but the largest up to the sawmill because it was more than our tractor could handle, especially due to the wet, plowed up dirt in the garden. After much thinking on the problem, hubby came up with a plan he thought would work using the wench on the trailer. Today he tried it out single-handedly and it worked perfectly. After pulling it up from the garden, I helped him get it onto the sawmill, and we sawed it up into boards and battens for the whole interior of the cabin. It is sticked to dry and when it gets down to 19% moisture, we can plane it and move it inside where it will dry down to about 12% before we put it up.
I know the last picture on this day gave you a great deal of satisfaction and gratification…….and I don’t mean instant gratification!!
