Today the man that will lay our foundation block came out and measured, marked, and calculated. We placed the order for all of the block, mortar, sand, etc. The lines were spray painted so the man with the backhoe can come and dig for the footers, but within 2 hours of the lines being sprayed, a huge downpour washed them all away! Roy was very discouraged. We went out after the rain and found faint shadows of some of the lines (only because they were flourescent) and measured and remarked, this time with rebar stakes. Roy will wait and repaint the lines right before the digging begins, so they won’t wash again. It was a frustrating day, but lots was accomplished.
