Three weeks after the big hail storm, the garden had completely recovered. Suprisingly, nothing was lost, not even the “broccoli” tomato. I am including pictures of the garden from the last three weeks.
It is amazing how quickly everything grows. Now, at almost a month after the storm, you would never know it happened.
The peas are now producing and full of blooms, although their time is limited, because hot weather is upon us. We have pulled up the lettuce, radishes, and carrots from the garden box and added more tomatoes and two peppers.
Roy has the garden completely planted now and we have staked the beans and tomatoes. Roy has added sweet potatoes, okra, more beans and peas, watermelon, squash, cucumbers, and another planting of corn.
This has been an amazing spring, with just enough rain and with the exception of a few 90 degree days, it has been very cool. Yesterday and today are in the low 60’s.
