We were given a rooster last week for Chicky. He is a Maran/Barred Rock mix.  The girls named him King Frederick I. Maddy is studying the European monarchies in History and they thought it would be a good way to name him since they technically are only allowed to “get personal” with one chicken. Their reasoning is that each successive rooster can just become the next king in line.
