Our purpose in this venture is not to “save the planet” or “go green.” God created the earth and made man the steward of it. As stewards, nothing in this world belongs to us but we are responsible for it. If we use it wisely, we may enjoy and benefit from it, but ultimately we must use it to glorify the Creator and must return it all to Him. We do not worship the creation in part or as a whole. We believe that one day when our Lord returns, the earth will be burned with a fervent heat. It is our purpose and desire therefore, to stand before the Judge on that day to hear Him say, “well done, my good and faithful servant.”
We also believe that we are called to be good stewards of the material blessing God has given us, including our finances. We strive to follow a WWII slogan, “Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.” This does not mean we never buy anything new or do without everything we do not already have. It simply means that we pause and give consideration to the decisions we make and try our best to be good stewards of all that we have.
