Annie’s Cheddar Bunnies and White Cheddar Bunnies get highest marks in my book. In this quest of mine to find organic alternatives to both staples and indulgences, Annie’s continues to impress with both. I am a long time goldfish fan, and didn’t think another product would come out equal for me, but Annie’s does it!
Cheddar bunnies are made without any artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. They use organic wheat flower, and the cheese is rBST (growth hormone) free. All other ingredients are pronounceable as well as readily recognizable, such as sunflower oil, paprika, milk, celery seed, and onion powder. They are even colored with real food, cheese and annatto (look it up!)
Her marketing is as wonderful as her products. Bernie, who was Annie’s pet Dutch rabbit, is the official “rabbit of approval” stamp that all Annie’s products get. The boxes have things like cutout finger puppets of Bernie, cute slogans like “run with bunnies, not scissors!”, and bit of history of the products, motivation behind them and little snippets of Annie’s life. I love the thought and passion that seem to go into this company. Eat Annie’s Homegrown!
