An Incubator for Christmas!

I am so very excited about my Christmas present from my sweet husband! We agreed not to buy each other anything this year, and technically he didn’t, but he put a lot of work and time and ingenuity into a present for me. He actually spent a little money, though, on a strand of old fashioned Christmas lights and a piece of Luan to incorporate into the present. He surprised me with a very professional looking incubator that will hold about 150 eggs AND “turns” all the eggs with one flick of the wrist! Other than his two small purchases, the rest is salvaged materials from an odd array of items. He used an old toaster, the microwave that burned up last month, an old electric oil filled radiator, an electric radiant heater, poles from a torn up tent, a piece off a basketball goal, some left over PEX pipe, wire left over from the chicken cage, leftover insulated reflective duct tape (from my old house), leftover blue board insulation (from this house), the thermostat from a broken incubator, a scrap of plexiglass, a broken paint roller and scrap wood from building the house. Before he told me what it was, he gave me the parts list and I couldn’t imagine what he’d come up with. When I saw it, I was understandably impressed!
